Stop. Breathe. Relax!

Posted by Tiffany Bowers on

What is your meaning of peace and where does it begin? Does it mean, reading a book by the window seal or does it mean a peaceful night's rest?

We all have one common thought when it comes to peace....to relax or to be comfortable. There are different ways to accomplish this goal. I thought I was doing my best in this state-of-mind just by simply resting. But no!... There's so much more to that.

As I sit in the tub, thinking about all the things that had to occur in order for this to be successful task. No, this was not just taking the time to schedule or make a self-care appointment with yourself but let's talk about priorities. Noted babes....I thank you so much.

We have to priorities our peace. Running a growing business and having a full-time job, with three kids remaining in the household can be overwhelming if I don't take time to breathe. We often push through when having  goals and aspirations in mind. Be careful not to over do it.

I did not realize how much effort it took to implement this act-of-kindness my husband made for me. Making sure the kids were away to have a quiet momment at home. The sent of lavender and the soft sounds of music as I lay in a tub of bubbles singing to the tunes makes means so much more.

Take a mental day off at least 1-2 times a month unapologetically. Although a lot of us can identify as mothers we are still human. We need time off to take care of ourselves. Save some PTO time for you while still investing into your children's. Yes, babes...it's possible!

I did not start taking time off for me until I reached my mid 40's and my body reached it's limit. Now, I make sure prioritizing my self-care is apart of being a mother. I'm sure many women has done this unintentionally. We have to do better with ourselves and make sure we can be the best for our families. So yeah, this bath time means more to me than just a bath...

How do you prioritize your peace?
