Doing Way Too Much

Posted by Tiffany Bowers on

Pruning a plant sporadically for a while....isn't cutting it. Literally! Not sure what's wrong with my plant or how to fix it. Most people may try to solve the problem by getting to the root of the foundation first, rather than just trimming around the issue right?

One day while pruning my plant, I pulled off a peice that split the whole leaf entirely. It appears to be one of the main leaves connecting a major vein to the stem causing it to die. I was so upset. This plant really meant a lot to me, and I have tried almost everything possible to keep it alive. I totally messed it up! Pruning a plant, means to trim off over grown branches or stems. What in the world was I thinking!?

Sometimes, when were so focused driven, we can only see what we think is important. Which means, possibly cutting off what may be needed rather than only removing overgrowth or dead leaves. It's not the leaves your having trouble with growing! Duh!
It's your way of thinking.

When in reality...if we applied this to real life, it may look like micromanaging, being overwhelmed, or overthinking things. In some situations, it may cause harm or damaging results. Doing way too much in areas that do not support your over all goal! Such a buzz kill, and just a waist of time! Who needs that BS! Not us!!

Maybe being more cautious about the plant, or even doing a little research first before removing the leaves I thought were dead would have helped. Although the plant isn't looking or growing anything like a mature plant should look at this stage....let it be. It still has life! So, let the plant be as awkward and funny looking as it may. Find another way to support what already exist. Do not remove! Let the rest catch up in it's own time.

Thanks for stopping by,

~Toodles~
